Today a bring you a quick tutorial on how to turn an iPod box into a Tarot box. Its pretty simple. First I picked a piece of scrapbook paper that I felt worked with the deck. Next I measured out the paper for the top cover. I applied Xyron adhesive to the paper using my creative station. You can actually use this adhesive without the machine. Just pull the sticky roll out of the cartridge and cut it by hand. This also works well if you paper is wider then your machine allows. Once the adhesive is applied, place the cover in the center and fold the sides up. I like to angle the longer flap kind of like warping a present. This helps to hide the seams. Once the cover was complete I cut a piece of paper to cover the bottom. I didn’t cover the side because I was worried it would be too tight a fit. The last bit was to pull out the foam from inside and replace it with some white craft foam cut to fit. This I glued in with some craft adhesive. This was a super quick project as I had all the supplies on hand. Total time start to finish. 30 min.
My July Deck. I probably wont get more then this because I am backing 2 KS deck for July already. Shortly after my mom passed away I found this deck in the attic it had belonged to her. Sadly I never really got to work with it because one of my sisters friends stole it when I was in HS. My dad got me a new U.S. Games version but it just wasn’t the same for me. It wasn’t until I was in collage 10 years later that I started to use Tarot decks again. Now 30 years later I found a copy of the deck I had originally had. So excited. I did not come with a box so I will probably spend the weekend making one for it.
